Michelle M. Russell

Michelle is an experienced Associate Creative Director and Designer, having held senior, pivotal roles at renowned organizations, including Coty, Inc., Badger & Partners, Viacom, and NBCUniversal. Her expertise covers a diverse range of industries, including beauty, fragrance, fashion, and entertainment for notable brands such as L'Oreal, Chanel, Maybelline, and MTV. For Michelle, creativity thrives through connection and collaboration. Idealistic, strategic, optimistic and empathetic, she finds purpose inspiring people to look beyond the obvious, trust their instincts, and see mistakes not as failures, but as essential parts of the creative journey.

Over the past year, as Associate Creative Director at Iridio by RRD, Michelle successfully bridged the gap between new and ongoing creative in the newly awarded Coty account for RRD. In this pivotal role, she lead a new team of designers and production artists, implemented processes, identified and hired new employees, and met with traffic and project managers to discuss workflow. These efforts resulted in a renewed 3 year contract for the company. Previously, as Senior Creative Consultant at Coty, Inc., Michelle spearheaded projects for Sally Hansen Global and Sally Hansen US. These projects included creative development, point-of-sale (POS), print, digital, and packaging design. Notably, as Associate Creative Director at MTV, she led initiatives for high-profile events such as the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs), shaping on-air, print, and digital campaigns for the network.

Michelle is also the co-founder of a children's pre-reading game called HopLingo™. After the initial design and production phase, she spent a year in R&D testing HopLingo™ to elementary school children in California. Her experience with teaching as well as the children themselves consistently remind her to always stay open to new ideas and the value of having fun in all spaces.

Michelle currently lives in Brooklyn, NY where she is restoring her beloved 19th century brownstone for her and her daughter.
